Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® Review

While Citibank offers several credit cards with airline rewards, its Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® is uniquely designed for American Airlines travelers who can afford to give themselves the occasional luxury of exceeding their credit limit due to their otherwise good credit and payment history.

Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® distinguishes itself from other airline rewards credit cards not just in its no ‘pre-set spending limit’ policy, it also offers a generous 15,000 bonus miles reward when $750 in purchases is made within the first four months of membership.

Every dollar spent on your Citi® Gold/AAdvantage® World MasterCard® earns you one mile. Miles, of which only 60,000 can be accumulated per year and may never expire, can be exchanged for stays at hundreds of hotels worldwide, free flights via American Airlines and its participating partners (over 25 airlines), and car rentals.

It should be noted, however, that the APR for purchases is above average, especially for a rewards card, and there is a minimum cap for cash advances of 19.99%.
